Take a class in speed reading.

Books are full of information that can enhance your knowledge-base, vocabulary and yourself as a person. Speed reading is an easy way to get at this info faster so that you can have more time for other endeavors.

Start a mind capture ritual.

Shut everything off, set a timer for 15 minutes, and sit down with a blank notepad and a pen. Then capture on the paper all of what is sitting in your head (open loops), to clear away your mental clutter.

Limit your exposure to blue light before bed.

Exposing yourself to too much blue light (from your smartphone, tablet, or computer) before bed is detrimental to your sleep and will make you less energetic the next day.

Avoid food called by the same name in every language.

It’s not food if it’s called by the same name in every language (e.g. Big Mac, Cheetos, Pringles, Oreo) – most of these items don’t deserve to be called food. They are highly processed concoctions designed by food scientists, consisting chemical additives with which the human body has not been long acquainted.

So many people wander aimlessly through life simply go for whatever small thing they want moment by moment. Instead, decide what your perfect life consists of and begin to put the steps in motion to reach that place. The most satisfying thing in the world is overcoming a challenge and reaching a goal. We are the happiest when we are growing and working towards something better.
