Schedule less time for important tasks.
This seems counterintuitive, but it isn’t in practice. When you limit how much time you give yourself to work on important tasks, you force yourself to expend more energy over less time so you can get the tasks done faster. As Parkinson’s Law says – work expands to fill the time available for its completion.

Slow down.
It is fairly easy to switch your mind to autopilot and then bounce around from one distraction to the next. Slow down, take a deep breath and do things deliberately to manage your attention better and become more focused.

Start very small.
One of the keys to becoming more productive is to simply make one small change at a time. The smaller the change you try to make to your life, the more likely you’ll actually make it.

Disconnect from technology.
Our mind perceives stress when it’s constantly working and connected to technology and our business. Remove yourself from your normal working environment by leaving technology / cell / tech etc. at your work place, close the door and go for a walk. Hydrate as you walk, and breath big deep breaths. This will become a part of your day you look forward to the most. That is of course, if you protect and schedule it. You don’t need new day to start something over, you need new mindset and this definitely helps, remember it. Even after 10 minutes of ‘decompressions time’ you will feel like you regained your sharpness and are more relaxed.

Open your windows.
If you’ve had a long work day, but can’t go on a walk, open your windows! Become aware of how you feel, of your
breathing and breath nice deep fresh air breaths. Breathing consciously will reduce symptoms and feelings of pressure, stress and anxiety – it’s a simple way to boost your energy with little to no effort.

Buy smaller plates and glasses.
The bigger the portion, the more we will eat and drink. The same amount of food looks bigger on smaller plate than on the bigger one.

Don’t take life so seriously!
Learn to laugh at the little things and this whole “existence” thing will be a whole lot easier. Be amused by your mistakes and failures and be thankful that you learned your lesson and won’t mess up like that again. And most importantly do things that you enjoy! Life is not strictly business, it can be mixed with pleasure.
